Our Rules
FOLLOW THE RULES BELOW AND YOU'RE READY TO GO!
Your Manners
❖ - When out of character, be polite and courteous.
❖ - Bullying, racism, sexism, or any other forms of bigotry will not be tolerated.
❖ - Excessive swearing or profanity is not called for.

Creating an Account
❖ - Any new accounts that do not post an app within a week of joining will be deleted. You can always post a 'Work in Progress'. Any 'WIP' apps that have not been worked on in over 2 weeks will be considered 'Abandoned Apps' and will be moved to the graveyard, and that account deleted.
❖ - You can have as many characters as you feel comfortable playing. HOWEVER! Once you make an account, you must have a minimum of five (5) roleplay posts with that account before you are allowed to make a new one. If you make a third character, you must have a minimum of ten (10) roleplay posts with your first account and five (5) with your most recent account and so on with every account you make. This is to prevent people from making more characters than they can keep up with.
❖ - Use the App Template provided. It's pretty straightforward and doesn't require any coding knowledge aside from where to put your image. Everything else is literally just filling in the blanks. Do not work on the app in preview mode. It will only end in tears. stick with the BBCode tab.
❖ - When setting up images for your account, they MUST be of your character and PG-13 appropriate. Any images not following this rule will be deleted without warning.
❖ - You may NOT begin RPing on the forum until AFTER you have completed the following steps:

- Lay claim to your Face Claim and/or Canon Character.
- Create a Plotting Page for your character.
- Fill out the form for the 'Who's Who'.
Keep Roleplay PG-13
❖ - Mild Profanity is acceptable.
❖ - Romantic scenes are allowed so long as descriptions are not too graphic.
❖ - Harsh or crude swearing (such as 'F*ck' or 'Sh*t'), while allowed, should be kept to a minimum.
❖ - Reference to sexual acts, graphic descriptiveness of genitalia, or other things of this nature are not allowed. If your characters just have to get down and dirty, you are expected to 'fade to black'
❖ - This is NOT an RPG dating site. If you are only planning to join with the hopes of getting into some hot steamy love roleplays, you are on the wrong forum.

❖ - No posting of personal information; including, but not limited to: full name, address, bank information, links to your facebook/tumblr/twitter or any personal instant messenger information. This is as much for your own protection as it is my overwhelming lack of interest.
❖ - You are welcome to discuss any hobbies or interests so long as the subject matter remains PG-13 and is not considered taboo.
❖ - No posting of personal information; including, but not limited to: full name, address, bank information, links to your facebook/tumblr/twitter or any personal instant messenger information. This is as much for your own protection as it is my overwhelming lack of interest.
Roleplay Conduct
❖ - Try to stay active with your posts. No one likes to wait for weeks on end for a reply.
❖ - Be respectful of your fellow players. If an action would cause injury or possible death to someone, you should get permission from the other player first.
❖ - Romantic relationships are ok! However, both players must agree to the pairing. Your character can have a crush on another, but if the player does not want to pair up, you can not harass them about it. Even if the relationship would be considered canon, there needs to be a certain chemistry between players.
❖ - If at any time, you are going to be away and unable to post, You should inform staff and your fellow thread partners by posting in the Away Boards.
❖ - No God Modding. No character is invincible. You also can't take control of another character's actions.
❖ - No Meta Gaming. Just because you read it in the thread or in someone's app doesn't mean your character knows this information.
❖ - No 'one liners'. While we do not have a required word count, short and un-descriptive posts makes it very difficult to reply to and complicates everyone's lives, yours included. If you need help coming up with ideas or feel you need to pass your turn, simply inform your thread partners in the CBOX.

Faceclaims
❖ - Face Claims / Play Bys must have a known first and last name, whether it is their real name or their stage name.
❖ - You are only allowed one (1) face claim per character.
❖ - Given the nature of this forum, you will be allowed to alter your face claim's appearance to suit your character (Like if they need blue skin or have white eyes)
❖ - If you do alter your Face Claim, they can not be altered to the point they are unrecognizable.
❖ - If you find photoshopped work of your Face Claim that you would choose to use, you must have documented permission from the artist AND provide a link to the original artwork. Being an artist, myself, I take art theft seriously. You will still be allowed to use the face claim, but you may not use that particular artwork in your app, profile or signature without the artist's permission. No Exceptions.
❖ - If you have a Face Claim in mind but they require a specific look, you may PM N.O.V.A. and submit an alteration request.
❖ - As an example, Semi famous YouTube Vloggers who have not given their last name for privacy reasons are not acceptable face claims.
❖ - No two players are allowed to have the same Face Claim, except in the rare case of twin characters. It would be preferred, however, that you select actual twins or actors who look similar for your face claims.

The Chat Box
❖ - Listen to Admins and Mods. If you are asked to do something, please don't argue and make a fuss. If you have an issue that needs to be discussed, PM staff and we will discuss it there.
❖ - Keep your drama to yourself. People come here to relax, have fun, and chat with friends. No one wants to listen to someone go on and on about how they hate their job, how their ex pissed them off, or how depressed they're feeling. We all have bad days and emotional issues we deal with. And we are not therapists.
❖ - Be polite and courteous to your fellow members. If you wouldn't appreciate it being said to you, then don't say it, yourself. If you see someone being a prick, let staff know and we will deal with it. It also helps if you give us proof of what is going on, so be sure to give us screen captures, and we'll go from there.
❖ - Do not harass other members about posting. Roleplaying is a hobby and most members come here to relax and be with friends. Being bombarded with "Hey, I posted! Can I get a reply??" is very off-putting. Please don't do it.
❖ - Do not beg for someone to RP with you. It's annoying and looks very unprofessional. Instead, leave thread ideas or suggestions on other members' Plotting Pages. If they don't have one, make your own and tag the members you're interested in RPing with. To tag a user simply use @+their username. For example, Xhirroh's tag will look like @x
❖ - Do not spam the chat box.. at all..
❖ - Do not advertise other forums or sites in the CBOX. We have Advertising and Affiliation boards just for that purpose.
❖ - No RPing in the CBOX. Take it to the ICC or make a thread.

❖ - Don't take the ICC too seriously. It's just something fun to pass the time while waiting on threads. Events that occur in the ICC should not be counted as canon to your character's personal story line. Make a thread and RP it out there.
❖ - The ICC is not a plotting board. If you want to plot out possible threads with other players, you need to make a plotting page for your character and let people discuss their ideas there.
❖ - You may not impersonate someone else's character. For example, if someone else plays them on the forum, you cannot play them in the ICC. They are not your character to play.

And PMs can not be edited once posted so be mindful of what you say. We take harassment and bullying very seriously.
